Editorial Policy

Purpose and Scope

This policy covers Poker-Eye articles, explainers, strategy guides, product reviews, comparisons, rankings, buyer guides, research-led features, news and product updates, opinion or commentary, and sponsored or partner-supported editorial content. Different formats require different levels of evidence, but the same basic standards of accuracy, clarity, attribution, and accountability apply.

Editorial pages should answer a defined reader question, distinguish fact from interpretation, make important limitations visible, and avoid unsupported promises. A page is not considered reliable merely because it is detailed or ranks well in search.

Responsibility and Workflow

Public editorial work is attributed to the Editorial Team. Research, drafting, editing, and verification are functions within the workflow, not separate public author profiles. One person may perform more than one function, but the published material remains the responsibility of the Editorial Team and Poker-Eye as publisher.

Before publication, the team defines the intended reader and question, gathers the best available evidence, checks material claims, edits for clarity and consistency, and reviews links, labels, tables, and disclosures that affect the conclusion. The depth of review depends on the topic, available access, and potential risk to the reader.

Sources and Fact-Checking

We prefer first-party and primary sources: official product documentation, current pricing and release notes, poker-room rules and terms, direct product access, documented test observations, and original research or data where available. Reliable specialist reporting and research may provide context. Forums, social posts and user reviews can identify questions or possible problems, but they are not treated as proof on their own.

Material claims are checked against the strongest available source before publication. This includes claims about features, compatibility, price, supported rooms, account restrictions, security, legality, performance, and financial outcomes. When evidence is incomplete, conflicting, or time-sensitive, the page should say so and narrow the conclusion accordingly.

Sources must be represented accurately. We do not invent citations, quote a source that was not checked, or use an AI response as evidence. When a claim depends on a particular date, version, jurisdiction, or platform, that context should be visible near the claim.

Product Experience and Review Claims

Poker-Eye distinguishes research from product use. We use terms such as tested, hands-on or used by the Editorial Team only when the product was actually accessed and the relevant scenario was performed. A review based on documentation, a demo or a limited account is labeled at the appropriate evidence level and does not imply broader experience.

Product reviews, comparisons, and rankings follow the Review Methodology. The page should disclose the review level, date, version or service state, platform, origin of access, functions checked, important limitations, and any relevant commercial relationship.

Sensitive Topics

Claims about poker bots, real-time assistance, automated play, data collection, room-rule compliance, security, legality, and financial results can affect a reader's account, money, or legal position. These topics receive additional scrutiny and require current primary sources, clear dates, relevant jurisdiction or platform context, and explicit limitations.

Poker-Eye does not guarantee profit, improved win rate, account safety, undetectability, or lawful or permitted use in every location or poker room. We do not publish instructions intended to bypass security, detection, platform restrictions or the law.

Editorial Independence and Commercial Relationships

Poker-Eye may receive affiliate compensation, free or temporary product access, sponsorship or another commercial benefit. A relevant relationship must be disclosed where it can affect how a reader interprets the page. Sponsored content must be clearly labeled.

A developer or commercial partner may be asked to confirm a factual detail such as price, version or feature availability. They may not approve the final conclusion, remove supported criticism, select a rating or rewrite an independent assessment. Payment or provided access does not guarantee coverage or a positive result.

Corrections

Readers, developers, and other affected parties can report a possible factual error through the Editorial & Corrections contact route. A useful report includes the page URL, the disputed passage, an explanation of the issue, and supporting evidence. The Editorial Team reviews the claim against current primary sources and decides whether a correction is required.

Errors involving safety, legality, poker-room rules, bots or RTA, financial claims, affiliate conditions, price, compatibility or product availability receive higher priority. When a material error changes the meaning, conclusion or decision-relevant fact, we correct the affected page and add a dated note that explains what was wrong and what changed. Related tables, ratings, structured data, links and calls to action are checked at the same time.

Spelling, punctuation, formatting and other changes that do not alter meaning may be corrected without a public note. Submitting a correction does not guarantee that a requested change will be accepted, and commercial partners do not receive special control over the decision.

Content Updates

Poker software, prices, platform support, room rules, regional availability and product ownership can change quickly. We update material when new evidence or a meaningful product change affects the accuracy or usefulness of the page. Triggers can include a major release, pricing change, compatibility change, revised room rule, security issue, legal development, product closure, user report or discovered error.

The original publication date remains visible. The last-updated date changes only after a material editorial review, not after a typographical or design-only edit. A significant update should include a short note when the change affects the recommendation, rating, compatibility, price, risk or status of the product.

An update must cover connected elements, not only the sentence that triggered it. The team should recheck the title, tables, visible FAQs, structured data, ratings, images, calls to action, affiliate disclosures and internal links where relevant. If a page cannot be kept accurate, Poker-Eye may consolidate it, redirect it, archive it or remove it from publication.

AI-Assisted Content

Poker-Eye may use AI as a tool for organizing research, creating a first draft, editing, translation, metadata, tables, or illustrations. AI output is treated as unverified working material. A human member of the editorial workflow remains responsible for checking sources, claims, wording, disclosures, and the final decision to publish.

AI is not a source and does not replace product access or hands-on testing. We do not use AI to invent citations, quotes, experts, authors, credentials, test results or first-hand experience. Ratings and recommendations are approved by the Editorial Team using the published methodology, not accepted automatically from a model.

Routine assistance does not require a separate label on every page. When content or a visual is predominantly or materially AI-generated and that origin could change how a reader interprets it, the role of AI should be disclosed clearly. Synthetic illustrations must not be presented as screenshots or evidence of a real interface.

Confidential partner information, unpublished security details, passwords, access keys, payment data, private analytics and personal user data must not be entered into an external AI tool unless the tool and use have been specifically approved. AI-assisted translations require human review of product names, technical terms, rules, warnings and regional nuance. Poker-Eye does not use automatic mass publication or automatically change ratings, facts or update dates.

Practices We Do Not Allow

• Plagiarism, undisclosed copying or misleading reuse of another source's work.
• Invented facts, quotes, citations, experts, authors, credentials or test results.
• Hidden advertising or a commercial partner controlling an editorial conclusion.
• Presenting documentation review, an AI response or a synthetic image as direct product experience.
• Guaranteed profit, guaranteed win rate, guaranteed account safety or universal legality claims without valid evidence and context.
• Instructions designed to bypass platform restrictions, security controls, detection or applicable law.
• Changing a publication or update date without a corresponding editorial action.
